Battle of Hogwarts Brilliant Easter Egg Makes Harry Potter's Finale Even Better
This theory gives a new perspective on the final battle.
The Battle of Hogwarts is the most epic and important episode in the entire series of books and movies about Harry Potter. J. K. Rowling did her best to describe the final battle with Voldemort vividly and emotionally.
Who did not cry at the deaths of Fred Weasley, Dora Tonks, and Remus Lupin?
Apparently, however, the creators of Deathly Hallows Part 2 gave this scene an additional meaning, which fans, of course, noticed. According to the theory, the Battle of Hogwarts mirrors every previous Boy Who Lived movie.
1. The Sorcerer’s Stone
The Golden Trio's first opponent in the Battle of Hogwarts was a giant. All Harry Potter fans will remember that Harry, Hermione and Ron also met and defeated a giant in the girls' bathroom in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
2. The Chamber of Secrets
Immediately after the giant, the characters encountered a group of Acromantula, the same ones they encountered in the Forbidden Forest in The Chamber of Secrets. And they were literally the same ones – the books say that the descendants of Aragog took part in the Battle of Hogwarts. So they weren't as safe as Hagrid thought.
3. The Prisoner of Azkaban
After the spiders, Harry, Ron and Hermione encountered Fenrir Greyback, who was preying on one of the Hogwarts students. As fans know, Fenrir was a werewolf, and Harry first learned about werewolves in Prisoner of Azkaban after meeting Remus Lupin. Moreover, it was Greyback who turned Remus into a werewolf.
4. The Goblet of Fire
A little later, we see who the fallen student was – Lavender Brown, who just a year ago was annoying everyone with her feelings for Ron. We haven't seen many deaths of Hogwarts students in the movies, the most recent being the death of Cedric Diggory in Goblet of Fire.
5. The Order of the Phoenix
The next obstacle for the Golden Trio was a bridge filled with Dementors. Harry was too exhausted to summon a Patronus, and then members of the Order of the Phoenix came to his aid, just as they did in the fifth movie, during the Battle at the Department of Mysteries.
6. The Half Blood Prince
One of those who came to help Harry with the Dementors was none other than Aberforth Dumbledore, Albus' brother who died in Half-Blood Prince. When Aberforth cast the powerful Patronus spell, it was impossible not to think of Hogwarts' best headmaster.
Talk about going full circle, huh?
