Avengers: Endgame Writers Almost Sneaked NSFW Joke Into the Movie
The discussion of time travel suits led to a kind of offensive name-calling.
Clocking in at over three hours, Endgame is the longest MCU film. And rightfully so. The fourth installment of the Avengers franchise features so many characters that it would be difficult to keep track of their storylines and communications if the movie were any shorter.
Of course, when it comes to the footage filmed for the movie, the running time is much longer, and some pretty good scenes had to be sacrificed in the cutting room.
Some scenes were cut for the sake of the film's acceptable length, while others were removed because they contradicted the plot or were deemed confusing or distasteful during test screenings.
What Daredevil Fans Missed: Deleted No Way Home Scene We All Wish Was Included
Fortunately, Marvel Studios released many deleted scenes in the months following the film's premiere, and fans were able to catch a glimpse of their favorite characters and laugh at many hilarious one-liners that were not essential to the movie, but still very well executed.
It is safe to assume that at least one of these scenes was cut because it was just too much.
In the scene that should have come before Hulk explains time travel, Tony Stark enters the room at the Avengers facility to check out a new Quantum Realm suit designed by the smartest superheroes, including Bruce Banner, Nebula, and Scott Lang, who all stand around the costume. When Tony sees the final product, he sounds impressed, but doesn't forget to tease his allies. How could he not?
"Wow, got a little Pym tech, Stark Styling, and the noggin bubble, courtesy of, uh, the Rings of Uranus. Is that what your troop's called?" he says, addressing Nebula.
We can add Rings of Uranus to the list of Tony's name-calling habits. While this intentionally or unintentionally misremembered name is amusing, it also sounds kind of offensive. Even more so when Nebula corrects Tony without her usual angry/defensive tone. She says "The Guardians of the Galaxy" with some vulnerability. This is probably why the scene was cut from the final version.

Meanwhile, it had an interesting connection to the Guardians franchise. The "noggin bubble" that Tony refers to is actually something viewers saw in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, when Rocket created the space-breathing spacesuits that rescued Peter in one of the final scenes. This proves that Rocket was instrumental in the creation of Endgame's time travel technology.
