At Least One Death Seems Imminent in Bridgerton Season 3
Spoiler alert: things are not looking good.
Since the confirmation of continuing Bridgerton for two more seasons back in April 2021, fans are restlessly looking for any piece of information about it.
Everything, including the cast members and filming details, is hidden in the best tradition of any show produced by Shondaland.
This time, however, fans have a very trustworthy source that they could use for inspiration and research: a series of books by Julia Quinn.
If you are familiar with Bridgerton books, you already know what's coming for poor Lady Marina Crane in the Bridgerton series.
Well, what may come, considering the show does not follow the books very strictly.
We already know a whole bunch more about her character from the show than we did from the books, thanks to both, a great performance by Ruby Barker, and the writers' interest in her motives.
The discussion on Reddit suggests three possible scenarios for Marina now. One would be a canonical death, the other would be a death in other circumstances, and the third one would be a divorce and moving away.
"Divorce was possible back then. It was difficult and scandalous, but the scandal is better than death," Redditor GCooperE said.
While some fans say that copying Marina's ending from the book would be "a disservice" to her character, especially after she was so well-highlighted in the show, others see it as the only logical solution.
As all the characters are tightly connected to each other, there would be almost no way at all to change her storyline without changing someone else's.
Either way, it seems like fans have to accept the fact that Marina's on-screen story is coming to an end. Another point that makes viewers believe so is the fact that Ruby Barker didn't seem to be involved in the filming process.
Many believe that whatever happens to Lady Marina will happen off-screen because of that.
