It's high time for animation to save Westeros.

Fans of the ASOIAF universe are definitely blessed by the Seven Gods: even though Game of Thrones ended, there's House of the Dragon currently ongoing, the Snow series is rumored to have the green light, and some other possible shows set in this universe are being discussed.

What a time to be a self-proclaimed Stark, Lannister, or Martell!

In this list, there are not one, but two suggested animated series. One of them is supposed to be about the Golden Empire from Essos, and the other one is covered in mystery.

While it would've been fantastic to see either of them come to life, there's one thing most ASOIAF fans really wish for: an animated series based solely on the original books.

Obviously, this can only be done after the book series is complete — which many believe to be never — but the idea still appeals to everyone who loves A Song of Ice and Fire.

Here are the main reasons to join the choir demanding an animated show.

Characters

Game of Thrones misses a whole lot of characters that are in the books: it's really hard to cast and film this many people on a permanent basis.

Also, many characters look completely different in the show from how they are described in the ASOIAF. Guess what? In an animated series, we can have all the characters from the books, and they can look exactly like they should.

Locations

Most locations in the show turned out absolutely stunning, but some of them are far from their original description due to technicalities.

Just as with characters, animation would allow us to get the Dragonstone, Casterly Rock, and Winterfell we deserve — and the ones George Martin told us about.

Plotlines

If we were to count every single storyline from the books that was cut from Game of Thrones, we would've cried before even getting to the middle point.

In an animated series, we could finally see everything that's been happening while Jon was stuck on the Wall. Sorry, Jon, but there's a ton of interesting stuff happening elsewhere.

CGI

What's a couple of million dollars for a live-action show is just another slide at no extra cost for an animated series.

Don't you want to see the Mother of Dragons actually go around with her dragons while boasting those purple eyes of hers?

And the direwolves that are more than just fluffy good boys? Animation can make all this happen, and far more than this.

Ending

If you just rolled your eyes, sorry. Every GoT-related discussion eventually leads to the good old ending roast, doesn't it?

But we have to point it out: an animated series would totally go for a different finale, especially if they have a finished script by George Martin.

This could be such a relief for every Game of Thrones fan who still can't rest after watching season 8 (unless they watched the Evil Ending, of course).
