As HotD Confirms 5 New Dragons, Fans Can't Wait For The Deadliest One
More dragons, more fun: get ready to meet another bunch of gracious creatures the next season.
The FYC House Of The Dragon screening was more than eventful for the fans since showrunner Ryan Condal dropped one of the most exciting hints about season 2 so far.
He announced that in the next season, 5 new dragons will be introduced to the series. While he did not add any detail to spoil their identities, fans are already on it with their theories and a good portion of wishful thinking.
It would be safe to assume that some of the dragons who will be introduced next season are the dragons that viewers have heard about during the first one.
For example, Sunfyre, Moondancer, Tyraxes, and Silverwing have all been mentioned in a show in one way or another but are yet to appear on screens.
Another lead that producers could follow: introduce the viewers to one of the three Wild Dragons that Daemon mentioned in the 10th episode.
All of the above could be true, and any of them would make an amazing impression given how visually advanced their appearances are so far on the show.
However, those fans who are familiar with books, already know exactly who they'd like to see next season: the deadliest dragon of all, Cannibal.
The name behind the creature is pretty self-explanatory: this wild dragon feeds itself with the flesh of other deceased dragons or dragon eggs.
And be sure, fans know already what the perfect introduction for such a dangerous creature would look like.
"I hope Cannibal's introduction is like the classic fairytale trope of a shining knight going to face the evil dragon.
With Cannibal summarily roasting him in his armor as soon as he enters, his lair filled with the burnt remains of dozens of other knights who try the same thing," Redditor We_The_Raptors suggested, painting the perfect picture in the true style of the show.
Whether or not Cannibal will be introduced in the next season among 4 other dragons is arguable but definitely not impossible. Fans will have to wait quite a bit to find out since there is no official release date for season 2.
