Another Reason We Need a Violet Bridgerton Spinoff (and It's Not What You'd Expect)
Shonda Rhimes has recently expressed interest in potentially creating another Bridgerton story centered around Violet Bridgerton.
Aside from that being an awesome idea on its own, fans have found another reason we absolutely need a Violet spinoff.
Queen Charlotte has just come out and become an instant hit, capturing the hearts of Bridgerton fans and all the rest of historical drama maniacs.
Why is the show so successful? Part of the reason is the amazing cast that makes the show compelling.
Viewers are particularly taken with the stars of the show – India Amarteifio, who plays young Queen Charlotte, and Corey Mylchreest, who portrays young King George.
As with any prequel (and especially limited series), the chances of them reprising their roles in Bridgerton are slim, and fans aren't ready to say goodbye to them!
Ever since Shonda Rhimes hinted at a potential Violet spinoff, people have been obsessing over the idea of India and Corey making a cameo appearance or two.
Well, that is, if the spinoff is a prequel that follows Violet and Edmund's love story.
Given the flashforwards in Queen Charlotte, Rhimes could just as easily decide to do a Violet spinoff about her life post-Edmund and her garden blooming again. Not that it would be bad – we would still be getting a great series to watch.
The perfect solution would be to do a Violet spinoff in the same fashion as Queen Charlotte.
It could be both a prequel that tells us how Violet became Lady Bridgerton (and makes us bawl our eyes out) and a spinoff that focuses on Violet reconsidering her status as a widow.
Although fans do need to calm down and realize that Violet wasn't close to Queen Charlotte until well into adulthood, so we may not be so lucky as to see Queen Charlotte's cast members (or at least to see them as much as we would like to) in the prequel.
Anyway, let's wait until we get some sort of official confirmation that a spinoff is indeed in the works. After all, despite what Lady Whistledown says, more often than not, patience is a virtue.
