Jessica Knight stole all the attention, but there may be another very different plot twist.

NCIS won’t be back with its season 22 until this fall when it finally hits CBS, and until then, fans will surely keep speculating about what viewers may expect from the upcoming installment. The latest season left everyone more than bewildered thanks to two big cliffhangers concerning Jessica Knight’s job offer and Alden Parker’s vision that may become a whole new reason to dive deeper into the character’s past.

While everyone on the show has their own problems to resolve, it’s Jessica Knight whose fate makes so many fans across the world create never-ending theories about her possible departure from the show. However, another major character might also be the one to soon quit the MCRT, though one of the actors’ hints just went unnoticed.

‘No Character Is Safe’

A recent CBS event gathered NCIS’ leading actors Katrina Law, who portrays Jessica Knight, Gary Cole, who plays Alden Parker, and Brian Dietzen, who in the show plays Jimmy Palmer.

Talking about the season 21 finale and the events that will possibly happen in the next installment, Law and Dietzen teased a lot of big changes coming in their characters’ way, but, according to Dietzen, not everything is about Jessica and Jimmy, as other characters’ futures are also jeopardized.

Hearing this, Gary Cole was the first to get confused as the actor revealed he had no information about his character’s departure from NCIS and for now nothing bad seemed to be on its way for Alden Parker.

Brian Dietzen then specified that his words had no direct connection to what is going to happen to Alden Parker next season, but “they shouldn’t just be worried about Gary Cole, they should worry about a lot of characters. No character is safe, that’s what NCIS stands for.”

The actor also added that those changes he’d teased before didn’t necessarily mean dangers that the characters were about to go through, but rather “dynamics that are going to be shifting.”

Given that the latest season ended on quite a high note for Alden Parker, his departure from the series doesn’t appear to be likely in the near future. After all, the character has been there for only 3 seasons which is nothing compared to the whole show’s long history, so there’s no real reason for Alden Parker’s fans to suddenly get worried, at least for now.
