Game of Thrones fans still don’t take their eyes off news about Jon Snow’s possible return to the screens in his own spinoff while the original show, Game of Thrones, ended in 2019 after running for 8 seasons.
One Game of Thrones star, John Bradley, who became known to the world public thanks to his role of Samwell Tarley, a Night’s Watch member who quickly becomes friends with Jon Snow, has shed light on the series’ future… or not really.
At the interview with ComicBook.com, Bradley was asked if it was still possible for the fans to see a reunion of his and Kit Harington’s characters — given that the original show ended, but encouraged the creation of yet another series, sequel House of Dragon, proving that there was still much of a public interest for main characters and their stories.
In his response to the question Bradley only mentioned that so far he hadn’t received any message concerning his return to the famous story, but he would definitely be open for such offers saying that in this case he was at the service of Game of Thrones producers.
The first rumors about a potential sequel, that will focus primarily on Jon Snow’s large history of one of the most outstanding characters, started being spread in 2021, two years after the original show released its last season.
Some sources even mentioned that George R.R. Martin, the creator of the whole Game of Thrones universe, was in favor of Jon Snow’s own spinoff.
In the last season Jon, after killing his love Daenerys Targaryen (who also shockingly happened to be his aunt), eventually opted for life in exile, so the potential spinoff could tell fans more about his subsequent career beyond the Wall.
Be that as it may, but official HBO representatives don’t seem to believe that the show will be produced in the near future.
