Boy, what a roller coaster. And for what?!

And Just Like That released the final episode of season 2 of the show and the fans have a lot to say about it.

Well, at first the long awaited cameo of Kim Catrall aka Samantha Jones was... a bit of a disappointment. Yes, we knew there would be no reconnection in any way, but there was so much more we were expecting from this "cameo" of hers.

But the main disappointment was actually waiting for us at the end of the episode. The most intriguing question of “what will writers do this time to show us how unhappy Carrie can be” was answered in the most bizarre way possible.

Well, to begin with, from the moment Aidan Shaw reappeared in her life, fans began to roll out many theories on how their relationship would end. And even though we saw the happy couple living their dream life and buying new spoons for their apartment, there was this nagging feeling that something was going to be wrong soon.

“My prediction [...] Aiden and Carrie get back together - Carrie wants to settle down together - but Aiden decides he is loving his freedom - kids are grown - and after one broken marriage, one broken engagement and an abundance of Carrie-caused heartbreaks - he has no desire to settle down,” Redditor SunSafe5257 said.

Well, as it turns out, those predictions weren't entirely accurate (although this scenario would have been even easier to understand). The thing is, after his youngest son, Wyatt, got into a drunk driving accident, Aidan decided he needed to spend more time with his kids. And by more time, he meant all of his time.

What did that mean for Carrie? Aidan asked her to wait five years for him! And that was the moment every fan’s jaw dropped. He forced his BS on her, and she was just happy to take it.

And even though the season ended with them still being some sort of a couple, Carrie is still left alone in her new huge apartment, with her hopes and expectations destroyed once again.
