With his latest movie now available, how does it compare with the previous ones?

Christmas is coming and the geese are getting fat. Which means it's time for Blake Shelton to give us the latest in his 'Time for…' series of Christmas movies. Starting in 2018 with Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas (and based on his Christmas song of the same name), the series now includes five movies full of festive cheer.

So, let's take a look at each one and, just for fun rank them according to their score on IMDb:

5. Time for Her to Come Home for Christmas (2023)

Premieres on November 30

The latest installment in Blake Shelton's Christmas movie series has all the hallmarks of the country singer and executive producer's work.

There's less of a physical journey, but the protagonist, Carly, is taken on a life journey. Having recently lost her mother, Carly moves to a small town to lead the Christmas choir. As she gets to know the locals, especially an army veteran, she begins to wonder if her visit to this town was her destiny.

4. Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas (2018)

Megan Park and Josh Henderson star as two people trying to get to Tulsa for the holidays. Park plays businesswoman Cara Hill, while Henderson's character is Heath Sawyer, a country music star.

When their flight is cancelled due to a snowstorm, the two strangers decide to find another way to Tulsa. Along the way, they share secrets about their lives and form a bond.

I won't spoil the ending and let you know if they make it in time. But it's a Christmas movie, so do the maths.

2. Time for Us to Come Home for Christmas (2020)

Five random strangers are invited to an inn to celebrate Christmas together. Yes, I know, people probably wouldn't turn up in the real world, but suspend your disbelief and go with it.

Once they're all assembled, it becomes clear that they're connected by an event from the past. What is it, and why have they all been invited to the inn? Find out in this delightful Christmas film from Hallmark.

IMDb Score: 70%

Two strangers sharing a journey to Christmas is something of a film trope – but it just works. In this film, recently widowed Katherine and her young daughter head home to Virginia for the holidays.

They meet a veteran, Jack, who is heading in the same direction. As they travel together, a bond forms between Katherine and Jack.

1. Time for Him to Come Home for Christmas (2022)

IMDb Score: 75%

Just four days before Christmas, Elizabeth receives a voicemail from an unknown number. When she plays it, she hears a man's voice begging the love of his life for one more chance.

What should she do? And if you think you've got this film figured out based on the synopsis alone, think again. There's an interesting twist that will blow your socks off.

And if you're wondering why Balke Shelton needs to make these movies at all, given that he's a seven-time Grammy-nominated country star, a judge on The Voice and has a net worth of $120 million, it was a chance to work with his mum again.

Shelton wrote the song Time for Me to Come Home with his mother, who went on to write a book of the same name. So a film was the natural next step, right?
