Probably the most criticized scene of Avengers: Endgame didn't go down well not only with MCU fans but also with the actresses starring in it.

Can you remember any 1-minute scene that was more discussed than the girl power scene in Avengers: Endgame? This scene brought together almost all female superheroes in one way or another related to Avengers, except Black Widow, who had by then sacrificed her life to retrieve the Soul Stone. Some fans believe that Peter Parker being the only male in this impressive female company acted as a sort of tribute to Black Widow, who had always been the only female character in an all-male Avengers team.

A short exchange between the all-female team and Spider-Man makes us think that Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) called on Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen ), fans-favorite Valkyrie (Tessa Lynne Thompson) who had brought her Pegasus, Okoye (Danai Gurira), Shuri (Letitia Wright), Wasp (Evangeline Lilly), Gamora (Zoe Saldaña), Nebula (Karen Gillan ), Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) in the full glory of her Iron Woman suit, and – for the reasons unknown to fans and probably even creators of the scene – Mantis (Pom Klementieff) to fight against Thanos.

The superheroines looked extremely cool gathered together, which made many fans feel girl power and praise the scene for women empowerment. But the majority of MCU fans agreed that the scene was forced and poorly executed.

It looked like Captain Marvel was able to do everything alone – which she did – and had no use for her companions. Many thought that this scene actually made its participants look less powerful than they really are. Now, turns out this scene was a disappointment not only for fans but also for the actresses taking part in it.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly Zoe Saldaña was asked about the scene and the first thing that came to her mind was how uncomfortable the set and filming were though the actress admitted that taking part in the all-female scene was very special.

"What I can remember — and these are the nuggets of life that make me feel so human and keep me grounded — is that we were just complaining about how uncomfortable our costumes were, our makeup, our wigs, how cold the set was, how much we didn't want to be there, how much we wanted to be there. So we were just being girls, you know?" Zoe Saldaña told EW.
