Ahsoka Cast Salaries Are Nothing You Would Expect
Although it is no surprise who was paid the most, the amounts earned by the rest of the cast are not as predictable.
The first two episodes of the highly anticipated Ahsoka TV series have finally been released, and along with some familiar names like Rosario Dawson, David Tennant and Lars Mikkelsen, the show also features some pretty big Hollywood stars making their first appearance in the Star Wars franchise.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Ray Stevenson (the latter tragically passed away on May 21, 2023, before the show even premiered) made their Star Wars debuts and delivered absolutely terrific performances.
But with big actors come big salaries, so let's take a look at how much money it cost to assemble such an impressive cast.
1. No surprise that the main star, Rosario Dawson, takes the top spot, earning $2 million for her performance as the titular Jedi. With some simple math, it appears that she was paid around $250,000 per episode.
2. Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who portrays the show's second most important character, Sabine Wren, earned $1 million for her performance, or roughly $125,000 per episode.
3. This is where things get interesting, as Hayden Christensen , who portrayed Ahsoka's former master, Anakin Skywalker, was reportedly paid $1 million for his efforts.
Considering that the character is dead at the time the show takes place, his appearances (in flashbacks, as a Force ghost, or in some other yet-to-be-revealed way) will undoubtedly be quite limited, and it's unclear how many episodes we'll see him in.
4. Another probably limited appearance is that of Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, as other than being shown as a hologram in the first episode, the character will most likely make a full return in the second half of the season at best. Esfandi was paid $550,000 for Ahsoka.
5. Ivanna Sakhno, who portrayed Baylan Skoll's apprentice Shin Hati, earned $400,000 for her role, or approximately $50,000 per episode.
6. Surprisingly, Mary Elizabeth Winstead's salary for Ahsoka was only $300,000, which is pretty modest compared to the rest of the cast, despite her being a fairly famous actress.
This might be due to the fact that her character, Hera Syndulla, will not be in all episodes.
7. Similarly, Ray Stevenson was paid only $220,000 for his appearance as Baylan Skoll, despite being an experienced actor.
8. Finally, Diana Lee Inosanto, who reprised her role as Morgan Elsbeth from The Mandalorian season 2, earned $170,000 for the job.
