Actors Who Got Their Characters Killed Because of Their Ugly On-Set Behavior
The showrunners could not tolerate the behavior of these actors and removed them from the shows in the most brutal way.
There are many shows where the main characters are killed off for the sake of the plot.
There are also cases where the character is killed because the actors' contract has expired and he does not want to renew it.
Then there are the actors who can't stay out of trouble or just can't work with their co-stars or the show's creators.
Such problems are often solved by the writers simply killing off these actors' characters.
Shannen Doherty, Charmed
Since her role in Beverly Hills, 90210, the actress' reputation has not been unblemished. According to her colleagues, she was very difficult to work with.
As a result, she was fired from 90210. In 1998, Shannen made her debut in the TV series Charmed.
Unfortunately, Doherty couldn't get along with her co-star Alyssa Milano. A feud between the two actresses allegedly led to Doherty's character, Prue, being removed from the show.
On one of the talk shows, Milano admitted that the days spent on set of Charmed were very difficult.
Nicollette Sheridan, Desperate Housewives
Desperate Housewives had almost as much drama on set as it did on screen. Rumor has it that the diva who didn't get along with the show's creator was Nicollette Sheridan.
After her character, Edie Britt, was killed off in one of the episodes of the show, the actress sued Desperate Housewives' creator Marc Cherry and Touchstone Television for wrongful termination.
Patrick Dempsey, Grey's Anatomy
Fans of the medical drama Grey's Anatomy were stunned when rumors surfaced that Patrick Dempsey was leaving the show.
His character, Derek Shepherd, died in a tragic car accident.
This was due to a conflict on the set between the actor and showrunner Shonda Rhimes (the latter even threatened she would exit the show if Dempsey didn't).
Some Grey's Anatomy cast members even claimed he "terrorized" the entire set.
Thomas Gibson, Criminal Minds
Thomas Gibson was fired from the famous procedural after a series of conflicts and violations of the law.
During one of the first seasons he pushed one of the members of the show crew, but the last straw in the patience of the showrunners was the episode when Gibson kicked one of the writers because of a phrase in the script that seemed inappropriate to him.
At first, the actor was suspended from filming, but after an internal investigation, he was fired.
Screenwriters wanted to kill his character Hotch, but in the end they decided to put him in the witness protection program, which forced him to leave his colleagues.
