Young prodigy wins over hearts with his animation in the movie.

In the awesome new Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, there's a really cool part where the narrative takes a quick detour into a LEGO dimension, which is likely a nod to The LEGO Movie.

Turns out, this scene wasn't created by the animation pros, but by a 14-year-old fan living in Toronto.

In January, a 14-year-old named Preston Mutanga posted a video on his YouTube channel LegoMe_TheOG. It was the trailer for Across the Spider-Verse but recreated in LEGO form.

The trailer looked truly impressive, and you can see the amount of work put in it. And it is even more surprising to know that the creator is only 14 years old.

Eventually, not only the fans were impressed, but also the creators of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

The video drew the attention of the writer-producers of Spider-Verse. Christina Steinberg, the film's producer, later reached out to Mutanga to invite him to take part.

According to The New York Times, Mutanga's parents, Theodore and Gisele Mutanga, were a bit doubtful when the movie production team first reached out to them.

It's understandable since their son's YouTube channel got hacked not long ago. So, they were reasonably cautious about a big studio showing interest in their son's talent.

But once Theodore Mutanga made sure that the offer from Sony was the real deal, he went all-in to support his son's passion.

He put together a shiny new computer for him and even splurged on a top-notch graphics card, so his son could work his magic and render his creations in lightning speed.

If we can take away anything from this story, it is that hard work and passion for things you do can pay off. Imagine being a 14-years-old and animating a scene in potentially one of the best animated movies in history. It's just crazy.

Preston Mutanga now has an impressive project to his name, and it's clear that his career is about to take off.

We can't wait to see the other amazing works this talented young individual will bring to the big screen.
