The movie has just premiered and some stars are already demanding a new story from it.

The Little Mermaid is the latest Disney live action remake that just premiered on May 25. Despite the fact that the movie caused a lot of controversial comments, yet after coming on the screen gained mostly great reviews.

In fact, fans highlighted the performance of the main character, played by Halle Bailey, and didn't miss the talent of Melissa McCarthy, who brilliantly played Ursula.

One of the A-list actors who also starred in the movie is Javier Bardem. He played the role of King Triton. And it seems that he and McCarthy have already put their heads together and already come up with an idea for a spinoff.

The thing is that the new live action movie actually changed a lot of things from the original 1989 cartoon. And that caused a lot of negativity on the internet.

But it seems that those changes were actually made for the better, as they give fans the chance to explore even more than they could have imagined.

For example, one of the changes is that Ursula and King Triton are actually blood relatives in the movie.

And that made Bardem and McCarthy think that the world needed a spinoff about their characters' relationship from earlier years.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, both agreed that it was a great pleasure for them to work together, but unfortunately, they feel that it was not enough.

Bardem also pointed out the incredible effort Melissa put into playing Ursula.

"She brought everything you can ask for and imagine. So I need an Ursula spinoff, and since our characters are siblings, I want to have a scene with her while having dinner," he said in the same interview.

McCarthy agreed with that idea, but added that one scene is not enough, so she'd like to make it six or seven!

Well, we can't hide how excited we are to hear this, so we hope to see this amazing duo back on screen in the near future!
