Such a successful project couldn't simply go to waste.

9-1-1 has become the most successful show on Fox, and it would seem that shows with such high ratings should be completely safe.

However, a few months ago, rumors of the show's cancellation began to circulate and were eventually confirmed.

However, it's still too early for fans of the series to get upset – 9-1-1 has been picked up by ABС for season seven, where it will now be broadcast.

Since Disney acquired Fox, the series was no longer wholly owned by the latter, and the show, while being extremely popular, had simply became too expensive.

It is known that lead actress Angela Bassett was paid $450,000 per episode in the sixth season, making her one of the highest paid actresses of color in drama series.

To some extent, the show's cancellation was also influenced by the decline of television viewing in general due to the increasing popularity of streaming platforms.

In the past, the cancellation of a show was almost always based on one factor – a lack of viewership. It's very difficult to find exact numbers that kill or save a show, and they obviously vary from company to company.

For example, the cancellation of Hulu 's High Fidelity was widely attributed to low viewership, with generally positive reviews from critics and viewers.

However, the service itself provides no data on the reasons for the cancellation.

In addition, streaming services have changed the rules of the game. Media experts note that Netflix 's policy seems to be completely independent of the number of viewers.

For Netflix, it is much more important that the series bring in as many new paying subscribers as possible.

So the service launches many different genres of shows, hoping to find at least one or two that will become massive phenomena like Stranger Things or House of Cards.

The 911 emergency telephone service was established in the US half a century ago.

It was the first time in international practice that the main emergency services – police, ambulance and fire, were combined into a single channel for rescue and assistance in an emergency.

The 911 series tells about the work of these services – they all do their duty, often risking their lives and getting into dangerous and shocking situations.

These emergency services must try to strike a balance between saving the most vulnerable and dealing with problems in their own lives.
