Consider what a shocking failure the recently concluded The Blacklist was: for ten years, the show marinated us, trying to intrigue with the secrets James Spader's Red was hiding. But in the end, all we got was a scene of the protagonist's mutilated body and a disappointing ending.

8. Green Frontier (2019)

The Colombian productions continue to delight with its intriguing and original plots. The series Green Frontier follows a young detective from Bogotá who travels to the Colombian-Brazilian border to investigate a series of homicides of four women. Along the way, she encounters a mysterious tribe living in the jungle that hides many secrets, including the presence of eerie magic and even Nazis in the area.
7. The Unlikely Murderer (2021)

The Swedish series The Unlikely Murderer is based on the infamous assassination of Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme that took place in 1986. The killer was graphic designer Stig Engström, but for a long time the police thought he was just a bystander, and the truth only came out in 2020, 20 years after his death.

Class is an Indian series that is an adaptation of the Spanish hit Elite. Expect the same madness, euphoria and crime among elite students from rich families as in the original, only this time set in Delhi. The plot also revolves around three newly arrived students from working class families.

Another Hindi-language crime drama is Trial by Fire. It centers on a grieving couple, Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy, who lost their children in a terrible fire 20 years ago. But they have no intention of leaving the case unsolved as they try to get to the bottom of it. Critics have praised both the acting and the superbly crafted screenplay, which combines elements of courtroom thriller and heartbreaking drama.

In 2010, for a Spanish family, a colorful and joyful parade in Malaga ended in devastating tragedy: their daughter disappeared. Thirteen years later, an aspiring journalist becomes interested in the case and, with the help of her older colleague, begins to conduct her own investigation parallel to that of the police.
