Jane Fonda became famous not only as a talented actress, but also as a strong, independent woman, a revolutionary, a rebel and a feminist.

Jane Fonda's acting career began in the early 60's, but it took until the end of the decade for her to become internationally known.

In 1964, Jane traveled from the US to France, not knowing that this trip would be fateful for her. In Paris, she met director Roger Vadim and immediately fell in love.

They married in 1965, but despite mutual love, Jane and Roger could not get along and separated in 1973.

An unsuccessful marriage with Vadim was compensated by the fact that the director was a genius and glorified Jane all over the world. In 1968 he directed the science fiction movie Barbarella, where the actress played the main role of a woman who travels through the universe and brings love to all civilizations.

The movie was known for its unusual costumes and too daring erotic scenes for that time. Jane Fonda immediately appeared on the covers of all the popular magazines and became a sex symbol of the 60's generation.

In the second half of the 70s, Fonda played in several prominent projects. One of them was a role in the autobiographical movie Julia, for which the actress was nominated for another Oscar and won a Golden Globe.

The following year, Fonda won a second Oscar for her role in the anti-war drama Coming Home.

At that time, the world of physical exercise was undergoing a revolution – the advent of aerobics. Jane not only developed a series of exercises, but also helped to spread them, making aerobics very popular. Her videotapes were distributed around the world, and Fonda regained fame – now as a promoter of a healthy lifestyle.
