7 The Vampire Diaries Characters So Boring We Keep Forgetting They Exist, Ranked
While some characters are incredibly memorable, others are easy to forget, and the amount of screen time they have is irrelevant. The Vampire Diaries’ characters are no exception.
Reddit users have deduced which The Vampire Diaries characters are so boring that they haven’t made any impression on our memories.
Here are seven most forgettable characters on the show.
7. Rayna Cruz
Nina Dobrev-less season 7 is boring as hell as it is, and this character is just meh… Fans are constantly surprised to see Rayna on every rewatch simply because they don’t remember her storyline – she is a shamanic huntress whose sole purpose in life is to incarcerate as many vampires as possible within the phoenix stone.
6. Pastor Young
We bet that name doesn’t ring any bells either. He is the guy who hates vampires for a living and threatens to expose Meredith’s vampire blood usage on her patients in season 4. Pastor Young is a very short-lived character, as he eventually kills himself and 11 other Council members in the very next episode.
5. Logan Fell
Logan is Jenna’s ex who cheated on her years ago, and as many characters on this show, he dies more than once. Originally killed by Damon, Logan becomes a vampire (courtesy of Anna) only to be staked later by Alaric (who is worried about Jenna’s wellbeing, isn’t he just the sweetest?).
4. Luka Martin
Luka has everything to be a memorable character, but several seasons later, most fans are like, “Luka who?” He is a teenage witch who tries to resurrect Elijah with his father, which leads to his death by Katherine’s hand. It’s a shame though – he had so much potential in the beginning.
3. Arcadius
Season 8 blows even without that character’s ridiculous storyline, but Arcadius just makes it worse. After so much hype and build-up, he turns out to be a very disappointing villain (nowhere near Klaus or Silas’ level). People have a right to expect more from the Devil himself, you know.
2. Jules
Mason’s friend who just wants to find him and ends up dead instead is what The Vampire Diaries is all about. Her connection to Tyler is sweet, but it lacks some depth to be engraved in fan’s memories. When Jules is eventually killed by Klaus in season 3, no one really regrets it or misses her.
1. Atticus Shane
This guy is a major recurring character who appears in 11 episodes, and yet everyone is struggling to remember what his deal is. Shane is the shady professor of the Occult who has a great big plan, which blows up in his face, of course. He just has too many complicated storylines, and that’s his main problem.
