The third installment of this Taiwanese horror, The Rope Curse 3 continues with another terrifying tale of exorcisms, heavily rooted in Taiwanese culture and folklore. Best of all, if you missed the first two, you can still watch the third on its own without missing the story's important references.

The Rope Curse 3 follows Guan Yu, a young man from a family of exorcists who aspires to be a viral parkour influencer, but finds himself involved in a series of supernatural occurrences in a rather unsettling hotel. Despite its deep cultural references and unique story, many fans found The Rope Curse 3 a hit or miss, but we'll leave that up to you.

Five Nights At Freddy’s

First came the nightmare-inducing video game, then came the movie. The Five Nights At Freddy's film adaptation follows Mike, played by Josh Hutcherson, who takes a job as a night security guard at the abandoned Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, and it quickly becomes clear that the job is far darker than he could have ever expected.

Fans of the game especially loved the nostalgic homage to the film's origins and the terrifying animatronic characters that came to life as the story of child murders, possession, and revenge unfolded.

There’s Something In The Barn

Mixing scares and gore with some dark humor, this Norwegian horror comedy tells the story of an American family who moves to Norway after inheriting a remote cabin. However, their aspirations of renovations and an Airbnb business come to an abrupt halt when they discover that the quaint country cottage is home to a bad-tempered elf, and they must follow his unusual rules or face the consequences.

Many have described it as a "Home Alone meets Gremlins" situation, and it certainly makes for an interesting and hilarious ride.

Knock At The Cabin

Some might call this psychological horror an acquired taste, but we think it's definitely not one to be missed. In Knock At The Cabin, a family vacationing in a remote cabin finds themselves in an impossible situation when they are taken hostage. The family of three must choose one member to willingly sacrifice their lives in order to prevent a global apocalypse.

The kidnappers' demand may sound absurd, but the movie slowly makes the audience question their initial thoughts, as the impending apocalypse becomes more real as the weight of the family's choice grows.

Set your sights on this thrilling movie in which Sam, a gas station clerk, must literally act as another woman's eyes. Sam receives a desperate call from Emily, who is stranded in the woods on the run from her murderous ex. Before you think this is a typical horror scenario, consider that Emily is nearly blind, and Sam must act as her eyes via an ongoing video call to lead her to safety.

Unseen was praised by horror fans for its fresh and unique concept of blending two different genres, as well as for incorporating a disability into its characters, while others felt that the film's concepts didn't fit together well.

Locked In

Comas have always been a devastating and mysterious condition, and Locked In explores a similar condition, in an intense slow-burn Gothic horror as a nurse slowly begins to unlock the dark secrets surrounding her patient’s conditions.

Through a series of flashbacks, fans get to explore the family rivalries, betrayal and eventual murder leading up to the present, as the pieces of the puzzle brilliantly fit together to create a clear, and disturbing picture.

Pet Sematary: Bloodlines

Serving as a prequel to 2019's highly anticipated Pet Sematary remake, Bloodlines takes fans back in time to follow young Jud Crandall, whose dreams of exploring the world beyond his small hometown have been shattered. Bound to Ludlow, Jud and his childhood friends come face to face with an ancient evil that continues to hold sway over the town.

Stephen King fans were excited about another addition to the Pet Sematary franchise, but felt let down by the film's characters, which may have contributed to the lack of buzz surrounding its release.
