Following in the footsteps of our favorite characters, we tracked down these iconic Chicago Fire locations you should totally visit when you’re around the Windy City!

Engine 66 & Truck 67 — 5349 S. Wabash Ave.

As you’re driving into the Windy City from the south, your first stop will be 5349 South Wabash Avenue where you'll find the former firehouse of Chicago Fire Department Engine 61. It appeared in the show twice: in Season 1, it served as Truck 67 where Otis wanted to transfer, and in Season 7, Engine 66 was filmed there — the firehouse where Cruz was temporarily transferred.

Chicago Fire Academy — 558 W. De Koven St.

Keep driving north until you make it to 558 West De Koven Street which houses the Chicago Fire Academy. As predictable as it is, it played itself in Dick Wolf’s show, and many CF Academy scenes were shot here. It’s also where the Great Chicago Fire started back in 1871, so this address is symbolic for the city’s firefighters!

Another Chicago Fire Academy — 1200 W. Harrison St.

Right next to 558 W. De Koven, you’ll want to visit the University of Illinois at Chicago which, too, served as the Chicago Fire Academy in numerous scenes in the show. The UIC is famously filming-friendly and “stars” in many other TV shows apart from Chicago Fire… And it’s conveniently located in walking distance from our next stop!

Firehouse 51 — 1360 S. Blue Island Ave.

The most iconic location in Chicago Fire is, of course, Firehouse 51 — and that’s where you’re headed next. Chicago Fire Department Engine 18 only provides its exterior for the show since the interior is filmed on-set, but it’s a great place to visit regardless: some fans shared that the local firefighters even let them come inside!

Firehouse 105 — 10 N. Leavitt St.

As you drive north-west from Firehouse 51… sorry, Engine 18, you’ll make your next stop at Chicago Fire Department Engine 26. Yet another real-world firehouse that became part of the show, it served as Firehouse 105 in the Season 2 finale. The fictional Engine 105 changed its location after that, but we’ll get to that later.

Molly’s — 1925 W. Cortland St.

The last northbound drive on this route will take you to Chicago Fire’s second most iconic location: Molly’s, the bar created thanks to Firehouse 51’s joint effort. The real-life bar is called Lottie's Pub, and it provides its exterior for the show while the interior scenes are, as typically goes, shot on-set. After you grab a snack at Molly’s, move on to your final stop!

Another Firehouse 105 — 548 W. Division St.

After a reasonably short drive east, toward Lake Michigan, you should find yourself at 548 West Division Street. Here, you’ll find Chicago Fire Department Engine 4 — the second filming location for Firehouse 105 which came into play in Season 3. When you’re done admiring its brick walls, you’ll be just a few minutes away from the Chicago History Museum and the Lincoln Park which will conclude your journey nicely if it’s your first time visiting the Windy City.
