If you’re tired of Super Bowl already.

Sports and music have always been the only things that have served to unite a nation in any time period. Even wars have stopped so that the Olympics could take place. And while many things have changed today, this is the truth that still remains.

On February 11 the people of America gathered around their TVs (the lucky ones were of course at the stadium) to watch this year’s Super Bowl. If the name doesn’t ring a bell, it’s a football game to determine last year's champion of the National Football League.

This is one of the events that is called the most important event of the year, but we think that all the fuss around it is not always genuine. When people who don’t even know the teams made it sure to watch the game it is confusing, isn’t it?

So we say, if you are a fan of sports, or just want to become one, check out these six sports dramas first.

1. Friday Night Lights (2006-2011)

We’ll start with this iconic drama that revolves around one of the nation’s best high school football teams, the Dillon Panthers, and their head coach Eric Taylor. The series captures perfectly all the stress that was on Taylor’s shoulders when he was hired as the team’s coach.

The small town of Dillon was very proud of its team, so he had to make sure they would end up in even bigger success than they were. And all of that while still maintaining his own personal life.

2. Bloodhounds (2023)

This is a perfect K-drama for the fans of powerful stories and violent sports action. It focuses on two former boxers who somehow ended up in a weak position in their lives when they seem to be owned by the one who has all the money.

They get involved in a scheme with a loan shark and start fighting for money to save the mother of one of them. They dream of getting out of the situation and will do anything to achieve their goal.

3. The English Game (2020)

Well, the fans of English history, this series is your perfect choice. The show tells the story about the origins of modern association football in England, so it's a match for those who enjoy both history and sports.

At the time of the series, the 1870s, football was considered to be a sport for the wealthy, but everything changes after a working-class star joins his forces with his friend from the upper class to change the world of British football forever.

4. Beckham (2023)

As the name suggests, this Netflix miniseries focuses on the life and rise of one of the world's best footballers, David Beckham. From an ordinary working class man, he grew into a legend.

The series gives us a glimpse into his mind and soul and finally allows us to see who the man really is. We learn about his strong will and determination in the world of sports that will eventually take him to the top. The story of his ups and downs will leave no one unmoved.

“Finally managed to binge watch the documentary, and I’ve always had a bit of a crush on him, but watching his story, makes you truly realize how big of a phenomenon he was and still is to some extent. I wish it had been more than just four episodes!” Redditor Grumpy_001 said.

5. Break Point (2023)

The relatively new series allows us to go behind the scenes of the lives of top tennis players as they travel the globe to play in all four Grand Slams and on the ATP and WTA tours.

The show brilliantly portrays how all these diverse players are united by one and only dream: to win a trophy and become number one in the industry.

6. Full Swing (2023)

Full Swing is a 100% Rotten Tomatoes sports drama that focuses on the sport that is considered exclusive and inaccessible to everyone.

Yes, we are talking about golf. The series goes behind the scenes of what it takes to compete and win at the highest levels of men's professional golf.

The documentary tells the stories of the top players in the field and follows their lives through their ups and downs. Some stories made fans of the game look at the sport in a different light.

“Highlights so far have been the Joel episode (my guy you have a gift, use it!) and the Koepka episode (can't help but feel sad for the guy). Pairing the PGA + LIV drama is a recipe for success. Seeing the inside workings of these tours, the raw emotions of the players, and the delicate balance between sport and family has been exhilarating,” Redditor thebongofamandabynes said.
