Why make a fuss over the same movies when there are so many more?

South Korean dramas have been conquering the world for the past decade, and there's no chance that the trend will end anytime soon.

The genre has become so popular for many reasons, some of which include strong writing, compelling storylines, and, of course, amazing performances from the cast.

However, some series get much more recognition than others, which is only natural because of the many factors that go into the success of any series, but fans feel that it's not fair to some other worthy shows out there that almost no one is even talking about.

So here are six K-dramas that never got enough appreciation.

1. Different Dreams (2019)

This historical K-drama celebrates one of the most important periods in the history of Korea's independence. In 1919, during the Japanese colonization, there were two events that helped it happen, one of them was the founding of the Korean Provisional Government with the leader Kim Won Bon.

He was a true passionate fighter, but one day he met another devoted soul, Lee Young Jin. Although she was Korean, she was raised by a Japanese man. She became a doctor and followed her dreams there in Joseon. The two were on completely different sides, but that didn't keep them apart.

2. Big Issue (2019)

Once upon a time, Han Seok Joo, brilliantly played by Joo Jin mo, was a famous photographer for a popular newspaper. But after a certain picture he took, he lost everything, even a part of his family. Now he has no choice but to work as a paparazzi photographer for a scandalous newspaper.

His boss is a badass woman named Ji Soo Hyun. And even though she is a tough boss, Seok Joo has nothing else to do because he needs money for his daughter's heart transplant.

3. Spring Turns To Spring (2019)

This is a show for those who are tired of endless dramas between men and women and want to see something different. Well, at the center of this K-drama is a story about two women who are completely unlike each other who somehow crossed paths.

Kim Bo Mi is a career girl who cares about nothing but herself, and Lee Bom has grown into a devoted family woman. One day they have their bodies swapped…

“There's not really any romance but the sismance was too strong to not give it credit. The two leads were amazing and it was always entertaining seeing them clean up each other's messes. One of the women helps the other really come into her personality and learn how to stand her ground,” Redditor retrospect said.

4. Women Of The Sun (2008)

At the center of the story is a young lady named Shin Do Young, who has become the object of every other woman's jealousy because of her life. She is beautiful, smart, wealthy – a real treasure. However, she seems to have a dark secret that she keeps hidden.

When she was a little girl she was adopted by a lovely couple, but after some years they had a child of their own. And Do Young was so afraid that they would not love her anymore that she decided to abandon the little girl at a train station.

Now, after many years have come and gone, it seems that the past is coming back to haunt her as her little sister has come back into her life.

“It was quite the "pull your hair out" melodrama and I loved every minute of it lol. Get ready to absolutely hate some characters,” Redditor retrospect said.

5. A Poem A Day (2018)

This is a perfect medical drama for those who love the genre. The series focuses on several professions at once, highlighting the importance of physical therapists, rehabilitation therapists, radiologists, and nurses in any hospital.

At the center of the K-drama are Ye Jae Wook, a therapist and teacher at the same time, and Woo Bo Young, another therapist who has always dreamed of becoming a poet. There is also Shin Min Ho, who is an intern, but isn't interested in physical therapy. The real poetry? Their daily lives!
