5 Supernatural Actors Who Later Appeared in The Boys
That’s why Supernatural fans like The Boys even if they are not fond of superheroes.
Are you a fan of eerie, mysterious happenings and supernatural beings? Or do you prefer action-packed stories filled with superheroes and villains? If you're nodding to both, you should have noticed that these shows have more in common than meets the eye.
Fans of Supernatural definitely noticed a couple familiar faces while watching The Boys. It’s not surprising, considering that Eric Kripke is the creator of both shows.
While another Supernatural star, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, is set to debut in the upcoming season, let’s remember those actors who’ve already appeared in both series.
Jim Beaver
Jim Beaver graced Supernatural with his portrayal of Bobby Singer. Well, he traded the ghosts for a spot in politics on The Boys, becoming Robert A. Singer, the US Secretary of Defense and a Presidential hopeful. And guess what? He’s still alive, and maybe, just maybe, we’ll get to see more of him.
Nathan Mitchell
Nathan Mitchell, who once played a friendly angel alongside Castiel in Supernatural, underwent quite a transformation. In The Boys, he became the mysterious and ruthless Black Noir. The masked hero might have a stone-cold exterior, but he’s got some slick piano skills and, believe it or not, a nut allergy that can knock him off his feet.
Adrian Holmes
Adrian Holmes is no stranger to the Supernatural world, having played a demon and James Turner, the son of a psychic ally to the Winchesters. Shifting gears, he entered The Boys as Dr. Park, the brainy scientist managing a secret Vought compound.
Gattlin Griffith
Gattlin Griffith portrayed Jesse Turner, the so-called anti-Christ kid in Supernatural. The talented actor took a leap from playing a child with dark powers to portraying young Gunpowder in The Boys, once again sharing the screen with Jensen Ackles.
Jensen Ackles
Last but certainly not least, the legendary Jensen Ackles. After saving people and hunting things for 327 episodes as Dean Winchester, Ackles made a grand entrance in The Boys as Soldier Boy, a superpowered WWII veteran. He’s brought a whole new vibe to the show, and fans loved every moment of it.
