Stephen King has repeatedly stressed the importance of learning new stories and reading a lot. But stories are not only written, they are also filmed.

King has a list of recommendations for TV series, and he updates it constantly. All you have to do is follow his X (formerly Twitter) account. King watches a lot (maybe too much) of Netflix, as many fans have noticed.

To save you from wandering through Stephen King's notes, we have selected five Netflix projects recommended by perhaps the world's most famous author.

1. Money Heist

Yes, Stephen King was hooked on this show just like us mere mortals. He wrote about it quite often on his Twitter when the show was released.

The story of the 2.4 billion euro robbery has become a global phenomenon. The main characters are a group of thieves gathered by a man who calls himself the Professor. He has devised a plan to rob the Royal Mint. His goal is not to rob anyone, but to print banknotes from scratch.

2. The Stranger

King calls it an "excellent mystery." Considering that King is something of a mystery master himself, it's safe to believe him.

Adam Price is a happy husband and father of two. One day a stranger approaches him and reveals the terrible secret of his wife Corinne, and soon Corinne herself disappears.

3. Dark

The German series, already a cult classic, also attracted King with its mysteries, and the author even suggested what fans should read to understand the extremely confusing plot.

The story tells about four families living in a quiet and small German town. Just like 33 years ago, two children vanish without a trace and dark secrets from the past resurface as everything repeats itself.

4. Midnight Mass

Stephen King had the opportunity to watch the series before the rest of us and only fueled interest in the horror show with his comments.

The series will tell about the life of a small isolated religious community living on an island far from civilization. When a young and charismatic priest arrives, something inexplicable begins to happen, which many locals believe to be a religious miracle.

5. Kleo

Another German series, but this time not so dark and mysterious. King called it suspenseful and very funny.

After two harrowing years in prison, former East German spy Kleo Straub is released. The Berlin Wall has fallen and the world has changed, but Kleo decides to find out who betrayed her and why, and launches a brutal campaign of revenge.
