Although they come in a variety of genres, there's still a huge trend towards fantasy dramas and rom-coms. And while many viewers love that, there are some who would rather watch something more realistic.

1. Misaeng: Incomplete Life (2014)

2. Black Dog (2019)

3. Navillera (2021)

Probably the cutest K-drama ever created, Navillera tells us a story of an unlikely friendship between a young boy and an old man. The series follows Shim Deok Chul. who has a lifelong dream of becoming a professional ballet dancer. And while his whole family thinks he is a laughingstock, Lee Chae Rok helps him become one.

4. Hospital Playlist (2020)

Despite the fact that Hospital Playlist has a little bit of romance, it's still nothing major and won't take your attention away from the main story, which is actually brilliant. The K-drama revolves around the stories of five friends who have been together for so many years and now work together at the hospital, trying to make the world a better place for their patients and not to lose themselves in their work.

5. My Mister (2018)

The drama revolves around the lives of Lee Ji-an and three middle-aged brothers: Park Sang-hoon, Park Dong-hoon and Park Ki-hoon. Lee Ji-an is unhappily married, which makes his already sad life even more difficult, because he also has to take care of his hooligan brothers. However, there is a bond that they all share – will it save them in the end?
