Apart from the MCU universe, because, otherwise, this list will never come to an end.

Sitting through the entire post-credits is not for the weak. But as soon as you manage to do that, get ready to be disappointed. And not because there can come nothing that you should have waited for. The most frustrating thing comes when the post-credits scene was good, but, in the end, for nothing.

Here are 5 post-credit scenes that left us hanging to this day.

Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017)

The latest installment of the fan-favorite franchise not only brought back the beloved Will Turner and Elizabeth Swan but also teased the comeback of iconic villain Davy Jones in its post-credits scene.

However, despite the anticipation generated by this scene, Disney 's wavering commitment to the franchise and subsequent changes have left the fate of the Pirates franchise uncertain, even with talk of a potential reboot led by Margot Robbie.

Suicide Squad ( 2016)

David Ayer's Suicide Squad initially attempted to kick off the villain-centric team of the DC Extended Universe, as evidenced by the film's post-credits scene, which hinted at the clash of Ben Affleck 's Batman and Viola Davis' Amanda Waller.

However, the movie's mixed reception, coupled with behind-the-scenes changes, shifted the direction of the DCEU and left the teased crossover between Batman and the Suicide Squad unfulfilled.

22 Jump Street (2014)

The film's post-credits scene took its meta approach to a whole new level, teasing not one, but numerous sequels that hilariously escalated in absurdity. While clearly intended as a joke, fans were left wondering if any of these outlandish ideas would actually come to life and continue the journey of Schmidt and Jenko.

Don't know about you, but we're still hoping for 23 Jump Street in Medical School, Russia, or whatever place they were supposed to be sent to.

Charlie's Angels (2019)

Elizabeth Banks' reboot of the action comedy starring Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska aimed to revive the iconic female spy trio. The film's post-credits scene featured an exciting cameo by other celebrity actresses including Ronda Rousey, Hailee Steinfeld, Lili Reinhart, and Danica Patrick.

This star-studded moment hinted at the potential for an expanded universe of new Angels, but the lukewarm reception of the film and the subsequent lack of sequels or spin-offs have left this scene as a tantalizing, but unfulfilled, promise.

Daredevil ( 2003)

The post-credits scene of Ben Affleck's Daredevil attempted to set up a sequel around Colin Farrell 's character Bullseye. However, since the main movie had already received a lukewarm response from both critics and audiences, the scene fell flat.

The proposed spin-off never came to fruition, and the character of Daredevil would eventually find new life in other adaptations, making this post-credits tease a forgotten footnote in the history of superhero movies.
