Two police officers from different generations clash over new evidence in a long-closed case. A frightened woman called London's emergency services. Young Sergeant June Lenker hopes to restore justice and turns to veteran Inspector Daniel Hegarty for help. An irreconcilable conflict immediately erupts between them. Lenker is certain that Hegarty is being evasive, deliberately slowing down the investigation and hiding important evidence.

13-year-old Minke Moorman lives with her younger brother and indifferent parents. Her mother works as a politician, her father as an investigator, and they have no time to devote to their children.
