You don’t have to stop your binge even with little ones around.

There is one big problem with K-dramas: they are not usually designed to be watched by younger audiences. While there is a whole sub-genre of sweet and romantic stories or silly comedies, they are usually rated for consumption from 15 years old.

But that doesn't mean you have to give up your winter holiday preferences if you want to spend it with kids. Check out the list below and enjoy a K-drama without worrying too much about strong language or intimate scenes.

Falling for Challenge (2015)

Falling for Challenge is a web drama consisting of 6 short episodes that tells the story of a couple who save the place where they fell in love from closure while exploring their own dreams. The drama itself is sweet and easy to watch, but most importantly it shows the value of fighting for what you love.

Birdie Buddy (2011)

This is a sports drama that teaches the viewer patience and determination. It shows the paths that two very different young girls take under the training of the same retired athlete to become the best golfers on the course. The show may not be as exciting, but it teaches important lessons and provides great emotional acting.

Princess Hours (2006)

Imagine The Princess Diaries in the form of a K-drama and that would be the closest you would get to Princess Hours. The events of the show take place in modern Korea, but with the twist that the monarchy is still in place. It has everything from sweet school romance to political intrigue, so the adults would be just as interested as the kids.

Pasta (2010)

Can you believe there is a K-drama about noodles? Well, it does exist, and it can be quite funny and enjoyable to watch. You might want to check the subtitles to make sure there isn't any accidental strong language, but otherwise, the show is completely appropriate for children.

Mirror of the Witch (2016)

This is a truly magical period story about the battle between good and evil, light and darkness, and the two types of witches. Once you get into the story, it's hard to turn it off, and kids will be just as invested in a very understandable conflict of sides without too many gray areas.
