5 Hot Takes on Supernatural That Lowkey Make So Much Sense, Ranked
Like any long-running show, Supernatural was bound to have a few controversial moments in its 15 seasons.
Reddit fans have recently shared their unpopular opinions on Supernatural, and they actually ring kind of true. Here are five hot takes on the famous show.
5. Season 7 Rocks Hard
At the time of its release, season 7 received a lot of hate from the fandom for its Leviathan story arc, but it has since been reevaluated by some viewers, and the verdict is in: it’s awesome! Every episode is hilarious, Dick Roman is a smart and charismatic villain, and that’s when we meet Charlie and Kevin. What’s not to like?
4. Wayward Sisters Is the Coolest Spinoff Idea
The Wayward Sisters show, which would center around Jody, Donna, Claire, and Alex, has never taken off, and some people think that it’s a real shame. The main characters are fan-favorite badasses that are fascinating to watch, and the idea of a female-led supernatural series is fresh and exciting. Maybe somewhere along the road it can be revisited…
3. Bela Talbot Is a Great Character
In Supernatural’s early days, fans tended to despise female characters that got in the way of the Winchesters ’ brotherly bond, and Bela was one of the unfortunate targets. Years later, viewers believe that her story arc was actually pretty amazing and even wish they’d seen more of her (perhaps a steamier continuation to her and Dean’s insane chemistry).
2. Bugs Is Not That Bad
Okay, hear us out. Bugs is still nowhere near the masterpieces that some Supernatural episodes are (for instance, The French Mistake), however, it’s honestly not the worst episode across all 15 seasons. It’s pretty boring and hardly rewatchable, but season 9’s Bloodlines is actually a lot worse.
1. Metatron Is One of the Best Bad Guys
Metatron’s story arc is another controversial point for the Supernatural audience, but it’s hard to deny that he is entertaining at the very least. Most fans have a love-hate relationship with this character — as in they love to hate him — and that is saying something. Curtis Armstrong has truly done a marvelous job of bringing this villain to life.
