Mouse (2021)

Inspired by a real-life murder trial that took place in Incheon in 2017, this show is set in a world where people can be diagnosed with psychopathic tendencies before they are even born through a DNA test.

Go Moo-chi is a detective obsessed with finding a serial killer who murdered his parents many years ago and whose actions coincidentally led to the aforementioned DNA test being approved by the government.

After teaming up with Jeong Ba-reum, a rookie police officer who was also affected by a confrontation with the killer, the two begin their investigation and study the factors that turn people into psychopaths.

Signal (2016)

Inspired by both real-life criminal incidents and the 2000s sci-fi thriller Frequency, the story follows a criminal profiler from 2015 and a detective from 1989 who have found a way to contact each other through time.

Using this gift to their advantage, the two solve many cold cases, but eventually learn that altering the natural course of events comes at a price.

Stranger (2017-2020)

As a child, Hwang Si-mok underwent a surgery that cost him the ability to feel any kind of empathy, but this turned out to be an advantage for his career as a prosecutor, as he always remains calm, unperturbed and incorruptible.

Beyond Evil (2021)
