If only we could bring those times back.

General Hospital has been on the air for more than 60 years, and with that many episodes, the show has been able to tell many love stories.

Some of them had happy endings, while others met a much more tragic fate.

Viewers who started watching the show in the 90's always remembered their favorites and wished for them to return to the small screen.

Whether any of these iconic characters will make a comeback for this year's anniversary specials remains to be seen.

But we can always join the fans in remembering the best General Hospital couples of the '90s era.

5. Ned and Alexis

Ned and Alexis were never really the focus of the show, but they always felt like they were meant to be together.

From the '90s to their steamy one-night stand in 2020, they just couldn't stay away from each other.

And the audience doesn't mind: these characters just feel like they're going to get back together no matter what.

4. Stone and Robin

A story described by fans as "heartbreakingly perfect" can't be left off the list. This couple had a very short run that was cut short by one of the most aggressive diseases out there, HIV.

As unfortunate as it was, this love story sheds light on an issue that needs much more attention.

3. Kevin and Lucy

Although this couple's relationship ended in divorce, which was announced in the mid-10s, they still had a lot of care for each other throughout the years.

Back in the 90s, when the passion was still alive, it was very entertaining to watch Kevin deal with his past in order to have a happier future.

2. Sonny and Brenda

Of course, this review wouldn't be complete without Sonny. The biggest heartthrob who stole the hearts of many viewers was involved with Brenda Barrett.

Despite the many obstacles that stood in their way, this couple was always attracted to each other and delivered the most romantic lines: "We don't have a choice, like moths to a flame."

1. Liz and Lucky

This couple was a favorite for the majority of viewers: their slow-burn teenage innocent romance just felt natural.

It's not that common for the soap audience to enjoy the relationship without messing something up, but Liz and Lucky were always meant to be, and everyone seemed to agree on that.
