Prepare to tear up.

Though every fan of every show can probably name at least one moment that made them cry, Supernatural is definitely up there with the other contenders for the most tear-jerking show of all time. With a character dying (and coming back to life) every other episode for all 15 seasons, it's hard to think of a show that has manipulated its viewers' emotions more.

Here are the top five most emotional Supernatural scenes that will forever be etched in the minds of every fan of the show.

Jo and Ellen's Deaths

Although the fandom didn't treat Jo's character nearly as well and respectfully as they should have, the scene of her death has stuck with many fans forever. Ellen's commitment to sticking with her to the end, and the most badass last line in the show's history, made it even better.

Lucifer vs. Dean

There is nothing more heartbreaking than seeing a brother turn on another, but it is even worse when he has no control over his own body. Lucifer beating Dean down and breaking his bones while in Sam's body and Dean constantly reassuring him that it's okay is one of the cruelest scenes in the show.

Bobby’s Death

As much as the fandom hates the Winchester brothers' real father, John, they love the father figure who came into their lives instead, Bobby. And Bobby's devotion to them, before and after his own death, only goes to show how good a man he really was, and how much the boys meant to him.

Castiel’s Confession

This is one of those scenes that everyone has an opinion about, and to be honest, all of them are valid. But whether you liked it or not, you have to admit that Misha Collins ' acting in the scene where he confesses his love to Dean, and the fact that he was willing to sacrifice himself just so Dean could survive, is worth its place on this list.

“Dean, It’s Okay”

The one time Sam got the chance to tell Dean, after all the years of Dean taking the responsibility. The last scene before Dean's death in the 20th episode of season 15 was one of the most heartbreaking things any Supernatural fan has ever seen, but also a very fitting "goodbye" to the show.
