Black Mirror and Stranger Things are great shows that everyone loves, but you need to broaden your horizons.

Here are five non-mainstream shows that are definitely worth a watch.

5. Wilfred

The American remake of the Australian show is a gold mine of dark humor, existential crisis, and self-therapy.

Ryan, who has quit his job at a law firm and is currently in a deep depression, finds out that he is the only one who can see the true form of his neighbor's dog Wilfred – a man dressed as a dog.

We know that the premise sounds ridiculous, but trust us: the show is riveting!

4. Gold Digger

If you love Ben Barnes as much as we do, you need to tune into this gem of a miniseries.

It might only have six episodes, but they are more than enough to show the family drama that ensues once 60-year-old Julia introduces her 35-year-old boyfriend Benjamin to her children.

It's British, it's brilliant, and it's beautifully shot. What more could you ask for?

3. Victoria

Can't get enough of The Crown, The Great, or Bridgerton? Then you need to check out this show.

The British series follows the early lives of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as they struggle to balance their political duties with their family responsibilities.

There are also several subplots that revolve around the royal household. The cast is wonderful, and you truly feel like history is coming alive right before your eyes.

2. Mutant X

This superhero show existed long before we all got into the MCU. A team of new mutants with extraordinary powers are looking for more people like them and are ready to protect anyone who needs it.

The series has that nice 2000s vibe going and young Victor Webster (the cupid from Charmed ), so you know it is as good as it gets!

1. God Friended Me

It's not the first show about the divine, but it is certainly one of the most intriguing. Miles Finer, who is an atheist, gets a friend request on Facebook from someone who calls themselves God.

This account gives Miles clues about people who need help, and the reluctant guy, determined to find the prankster behind the account, decides to follow the suggestions…

The show has everything you might want – comedy, drama, mystery (you name it).

Don't thank us for the recommendations, but you are welcome.
