There were plenty of wicked spells in Harry Potter, but if Harry used these five more than once in the entire franchise, it would’ve made his life way easier… Or harder.

It’s a real shame that so many spells and curses in Harry Potter were a one-time use. At the very least, these five would’ve definitely helped the Golden Trio out during the Horcrux hunt, for example, granted that some of them should only be used in very specific scenarios.

But all of them are pretty wicked, we promise!

5. Brackium Emendo

When Gilderoy Lockhart used this spell on Harry after the boy fell from his broom, it removed every single bone from his arm, but that’s Lockhart, so no surprise there. Supposedly, Brackium Emendo should mend broken bones immediately, which makes it a very useful spell in one’s arsenal… Especially for Quidditch players.

4. Vulnera Sanentur

Another example of advanced healing magic, this spell allowed Severus Snape to safely return the lost blood to Draco Malfoy’s bleeding body and essentially save the boy’s life. Paired with the previous spell, Vulnera Sanentur would’ve proven invaluable in the Horcrux hunt — but unfortunately, even Hermione didn’t know it.

3. Duro

When chased by the Death Eaters, Hermione used Duro on a tapestry and immediately turned it into stone, inflicting multiple injuries upon the pursuers. The very idea of this spell is wicked and dangerous as hell: imagine turning anything (or anyone!) into stone at your will! How many Medusa-style statues would you like?

2. Fiendfyre

Speaking of hell, this spell is literally it. When Vincent Crabbe cast it, it produced an unstoppable and ever-hungry firestorm that was impossible to control. We don’t exactly say that Harry should’ve cast it right before leaving the Malfoy Manor in The Deathly Hallows, but we’re saying it would’ve been quite a fun turn of events.

1. Pierotum Locomotor

Come on, even Professor McGonagall has always wanted to use this spell that literally brings every potentially walking thing in Hogwarts to life to defend the caster! You may think that it had hardly any use outside of the Battle of Hogwarts, but we can clearly see quite a few exams postponed because someone cast it… And honestly, it’s not like a person able to use Piertotum Locomotor needs any exams.
