When you watch San Junipero for the first time, you can’t really understand why it’s even a Black Mirror episode at all. It seemingly has nothing in common with everything else in the show as in this episode, we simply follow two love interests and their endeavors. It’s not until the grand plot twist in the finale of the episode that we learn the truth about the nature of San Junipero.
