4 Excellent Bromance Shows to Watch After Suits
Scratches that itch just right.
It's good to live in a world where it's so easy to find something to suit even the most eccentric tastes. Especially when it comes to different forms of entertainment. If 50 years ago it was normal to watch whatever show was on at prime time, now you can stream anything you want at any time, just don't forget to use the filters.
Many viewers form their tastes based on a show they liked the most. For many people, Suits was one of the most influential series. There are even cases of high school students deciding to become lawyers after watching the show!
But Suits is not just a legal drama, it is a compelling story about male characters who bonded after bizarre circumstances and became valuable to each other. So when you are done with Suits, try these 4 shows with a similar vibe.
1. White Collar ( 2009-2014)
When a series follows a rather unlikely friendship it’s always interesting. And like Mike and Harvey, the main characters of this show, Neal Caffrey and Peter Burke, were also brought together by chance.
Peter is an FBI agent who had asked a white-collar criminal Neal to work together with him to catch some other guys like him and shut down their criminal activity. Neal agreed, and thus the friendship kicked off. Together they started cracking cases that nobody could have touched before and ended up being a perfect team, ready to save each other from any situation.
“I think their friendship is based on mutual respect. They each recognized the other’s intellect during the chase, and since each of them have a pretty healthy ego, they enjoyed finding someone they felt was their equal. Additionally, I think they each realize that the other lives by a certain code, even if it’s not a life they fully understand,” Redditor cherilynde said.
2. Burn Notice (2007-2013)
Another perfect show to watch after Suits is Burn Notice. The crime drama follows a spy, Michael Weston, who suddenly falls from grace and loses everything. So now he has to become a people server and do impossible jobs for desperate people in Miami.
However, his life is not that desperate, as he still has his closest friends: ex-girlfriend Fiona and trusted former FBI informant Sam. While both relationships are significant, Michael’s friendship with Sam is a real bromance story.
3. Psych (2006-2014)
Another perfect bromance series to watch. Psych is a favorite show of many people, and it's no wonder: the bizarre storylines combined with the incredible energy the main characters share on screen do the magic.
The story centers on two main characters, Shawn Spencer, who pretends to be an influential psychic, and his best friend and business partner Burton "Gus" Gu. The two go through so many crazy situations together, always saving each other's lives and still trying to find more ways to fool the police with their Psych.
4. Billions ( 2016-2023)
Well, one of our favorite shows is definitely Billions, because what could be more interesting than a power struggle fueled by money? The show depicts the complex lifestyles and daily routines of those who rule the world of New York high finance.
At the center of it all is U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades and ambitious hedge fund king Bobby Axelrod. The two play a game of cat and mouse that is not entirely honest. Despite all the hatred we see them claim to have for each other (for reasons other than money), we still see them working together in the end, and we always feel the mutual respect they have.
