You'll be glad these scenes were left on the cutting room floor.

Sometimes, what we see on the big screen is often just the tip of the iceberg. Behind every film lies a treasure trove of deleted scenes, alternate endings, and unused sequences that didn't make the final cut.

While some of these scenes leave us wondering what could have been, others definitely deserved to be cut, and we are about to remember some of those.

Luke's binoculars (Star Wars: A New Hope)

In the original Star Wars film, there was a scene where Luke Skywalker watches the space battle between the Rebel Alliance and the Empire through his binoculars.

This scene was meant to show Luke's longing to join the Rebellion, but it was ultimately cut. The final version of the film does a much better job of showing Luke's desire to leave Tatooine without this scene.

Jameson's Spider-Man fantasy (Spider-Man 2)

Picture this: J. Jonah Jameson, the hard-nosed editor of the Daily Bugle, prancing around his office in Spider-Man's suit, complete with his trademark cigar still in his mouth. Sounds like a joke, right? Well, it was actually a deleted scene from Spider-Man 2.

After Peter Parker ditches his Spider-Man suit, it ends up in the hands of Jameson, who can't help but try it on. The scene is hilarious, but it would've felt absolutely out of place in the film.

The dog (The Thing)

This deleted after-credits scene featured a dog, similar to the one from the film's opening, looking back at the burning research station, leaving viewers to wonder if the monstrous Thing was still on the loose.

This ending, however, was far more generic than the one that made it to theaters. The ambiguity of the original ending is part of what makes The Thing such a masterpiece.

Jedi training (Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith)

Another Star Wars film, another deleted scene. In Revenge of the Sith, there was a scene showing Jedi training that was ultimately cut. The scene featured a group of younglings being taught how to deflect blaster bolts with their lightsabers.

While it might have been interesting to see more of the Jedi training process, the scene was ultimately unnecessary and was wisely left out of the final film.
