3 Supernatural's Most Underrated Characters That Deserved Justice, According to Reddit
Pretty much every single character who is not Sam or Dean, if you think about it, but still.
Despite having an impressive roster of various characters from humans to biblical creatures, Supernatural was always the show about the two monster-hunting brothers, there's no denying of that.
Still, many fans would confirm that sometimes, the Winchesters couldn't care less about people they called friends (and people who actually sacrificed a lot for them). Now that's some main characters energy; even for Castiel, who quickly turned into a sort of main character himself, more justice could be done.
Imagine how left out the others are, aren't they? Supernatural's Reddit has decided to remember the side characters who definitely deserved better than what they got after all.
Ash
Remember the computer genius from Harvelle's Roadhouse? If you don't, don't be too hard on yourself: when the show focuses way too much on main characters, things like that happen. Working and living with Ellen and Jo Harvelle, Ash was the kind of hunter who would always get overlooked on Supernatural.
Many fans believe that a spinoff about Ash and other hunters would be ten times more exciting than The Winchesters, a series that focused on John and Mary Winchester (and basically retconned everything it could only to say that it was all in an alternative universe in the end).
Frank
Ironically, Ash isn't the only sidelined computer genius here who has been unfairly forgotten. Remember Frank Deveraux, Bobby Singer's pal who got killed just because he decided to help the Winchesters with the leviathans?
Supernatural's 101: never risk your life for the two brothers who only care about themselves anyway.
Charlie
Oh, Charlie. This is the wound no Supernatural fan will ever get over! A hacker (because of course) who turned into a hunter, she was a true sunshine of the show — before she was killed off in season 10, protecting the Winchester brothers (is anyone surprised?).
In this case, at least Dean avenged her death by killing her murderer, Eldon Frankenstein. Which doesn't really help Charlie herself, right?
So yeah, in the universe like Supernatural, you don't want to be two things: a computer expert and a friend of Sam and Dean. Never ends well.
