3 Most Beautiful HotD Dragons That Are Yet to Appear on Screen
After all, it's not only royal drama and succession wars we watch the Game of Thrones prequel for.
The first season of House of the Dragon has blessed us with eight majestic winged beasts of different sizes, colors, and battle skills. However, as the prequel heads into its second season — as well as the peak of the Targaryen civil war known as Dance of the Dragons — we are yet to see some of the coolest-looking dragons in Westeros.
Move Aside, Red Wedding: This Death Sets Up HotD's Most Horrifying Scene
Here are the three of them we are most excited for.
Tessarion
A mesmerizing blue she-dragon, Tessarion was ridden by Prince Daeron Targaryen, who is also yet to appear in the show. Tessarion's wings are dark cobalt, while her claws, belly and crest scales are the color of bright beaten copper. Moreover, even her flames are blue — something that would look gorgeous on screens if the show goes for it.
One Redditor even imagined how the blue she-dragon might look like in the series based on an art by Instagram artist @siosin_.
Silverwing
Riderless in the series but previously owned by Queen Alysanne Targaryen, Silverwing was described as (predictably) silver-hued and docile in the books. Often paired with Vermithor, Silverwing was ridden by Ulf White during the Dance of the Dragons. She is one of the few dragons known to have survived the bloody civil war.
Sunfyre
AI Brings Game of Thrones to the 80s in Mind-Blowing Remake
Although Sunfyre has technically appeared in the first season, we only received a brief glance of him — painfully not enough when it comes to "the most beautiful dragon ever seen in the known world." Ridden by the Greens' king, Aegon II, Sunfyre has gleaming gold scales and pink membranes in his wings.
However, he is as fearsome as he is splendid, known as a fierce fighter despite his youth. With Dance of the Dragon at full swing in season 2, we are definitely to see more of Sunfyre and his grace.
