The amount of movies produced by Netflix each year is staggering. Dozens of new projects appear on the streaming platform with little fanfare, and while most of them are mediocre in quality, there are some that can truly rival both proper Hollywood studio films and indie productions.
This April, fans will be able to spend countless hours watching worthwhile Netflix productions, all of which have been made recently and really push the entire film industry forward.

For this list, we chose only the best of the best that Netflix produced last year, and the selection we ended up with looks pretty respectable. While a lot of people like to hate on Netflix and accuse it of producing half-baked movies and shows, it would be hard to find a Hollywood studio or another streaming platform that had as many hits last year as Netflix did.
Some of the films on this list even managed to score themselves a bunch of Oscar nominations, and even though they failed to win in important nominations, the fact that the Academy at least acknowledged them certainly means a lot too.
