15 Most Horrifying Films of All Time, According to Rotten Tomatoes
Let's face it - everyone loves scary movies! There's something completely enchanting about allowing directors and actors to scare the hell out of you, and to do so voluntarily, without anyone forcing it on you.
However, the overall quality of horror movies is actually quite low. Too many B-movies have been produced in the last five decades or so, leading many people to believe that horror is all about cheap practical effects and bad acting.
To prove this notion wrong, we decided to compile a list of the 15 scariest horror movies, ranked by Rotten Tomatoes.
The quality of the films listed above is simply impeccable - they spawned entire sub-genres of horror, and despite the shortcomings of their successors, the original films still stand as masterpieces, influencing generation after generation.
Of course, it might seem a bit strange to list classics like "Jaws" and "Alien" alongside newer hits like "Get Out" and "The Conjuring, " but we are dead sure that in a decade or so, the latter will be considered just as iconic as these mastodons of the horror genre.
After all, horror is one of the last entertaining cinematic movements we have left, and the fact that so many great movies have come out in the last five years or so only proves it!
