How to Rob a Bank is a 2024 true crime documentary about a charismatic rebel from the 90s who managed to pull off a strike of robberies and is literally considered to be one of the bests in the business. Based in Seattle, he lives carefree until his one last job traps him and his team in the corner.
The documentary follows the life and criminal dealings of Scott Scurlock also known as The Hollywood Bandit. The man is famous for the fact that he robbed 19 banks between 1992 and 1996. The Netflix movie chronicles the rise of Scurlock and reveals all the secrets he used to succeed in his crimes.
Although the name of the series hints that it may give an instruction on how to actually rob a bank, in reality it focuses more on deeper things, like how actually exhausting it is to lead a double life and have to always worry not to be caught.
