We've been cursed: the shows that we want to be renewed for another season never get the green light while the ones that were perfectly wrapped in the finale of season 1 suddenly get a continuation — and sometimes, this continuation has been just wrong.

In this list, we're going on a rant about shows that didn't need their second and other seasons.

Not everything needs a sequel!

Sometimes, a show is so self-contained, that the finale has rounded everything so perfectly, that any continuation feels like the showrunners just wanted to capitalize on a series that suddenly became big and started looking for any kind of loose ends, no matter how tiny and insignificant they are, and unravel them into something so monstrously uncalled for.

And we get it, money rules the world, we're all fueled by capitalism, but what about artistic vision? Why drag out an idea that has fulfilled its purpose?

Why build a cadaver based on it and try to lure the audience in with that successful name, eventually soiling it with poor attempts to replicate said success with the sequels that offer nothing new but feed off of the original? Because the studio wants your views.
