The nostalgic comfort you've been looking for.

Even the TV shows that ended years ago can still bring joy to many people. Those fans who watched the entire show episode after episode can find a lot of comfort in rewatching it and feeding off the sense of nostalgia that comes with it. This is definitely the case for fans of The Big Bang Theory.

Although the show was good overall, there were some episodes throughout its 12-season run that hit harder than others. And if you are looking for comfort, the best episodes to re-watch are the 10 listed below.

The Work Song Nanocluster (S2E18)

Any time Sheldon is under the influence of any substance, whether it's alcohol or simple caffeine, it's always a blast to watch. Poor Penny and her business, on the other hand, weren't expecting such a strong Sheldon presence, which makes their interactions that much funnier than usual. Still, they made a great team!

The Earworm Reverberation (S9E10)

We have all had moments when we have a song living rent-free in our heads but cannot remember its name. Given how sensitive Sheldon is to any distraction, he was almost driven to madness by this mystery that his brain refused to give up. The moment of realization after such a long, tense struggle was as relieving for the audience as it was for the character.

The Excelsior Acquisition (S3E16)

Sheldon being summoned to court is not the most wholesome or comforting of situations, that much is true. However, seeing him resort to his old antics even in the most uncomfortable situations is reminiscent of how viewers turn to The Big Bang Theory when they need a little support. Asking for a place in a prison cell might be a risky move, though.

The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis (S2E11)

No matter how many years have passed and how many twists and turns Penny and Sheldon's friendship has taken, this episode will always remain the sweetest. By being considerate of each other's tastes and desires, even though they are so different, Penny and Sheldon made the Christmas special not only for each other, but for the viewers as well.

The Thanksgiving Decoupling (S7E9)

Just as there is something magical about any Christmas gathering, there is also something magical about Thanksgiving, especially one spent with people you truly love. The appearance of Bernadette's father was a nice surprise, as was Sheldon's unexpected return to his Southern roots. A nice touch after Young Sheldon.

The Adhesive Duck Deficiency (S3E8)

Another great episode made perfect by the dynamic between Penny and Sheldon. The two may never have seen eye to eye, but the level of care and support was very evident when Sheldon took her to the hospital. The duet version of ‘Soft Kitty’ is just the cherry on top of what is otherwise one of the funniest episodes of the entire show.

The Romance Resonance (S7E6)

Even if the episode itself isn't all that wholesome and magical, there's one thing that makes it worth rewatching every time. The moment when Howard and the gang sing to Bernadette through the glass while she remains in quarantine has to be one of the most heartfelt and romantic sitcom moments of all time.

The Barbarian Sublimation (S2E3)

To get closer to her new neighbors, Penny had to start thinking like them and trying things they found exciting. That is how she got into online games. But the more she played, the more her obsession took hold, and by then she wasn't just interested, she was addicted and needed to be saved.

The Staircase Implementation (S3E22)

One of the most heartwarming things a show can do is look back at the characters' past. Knowing how close Leonard and Sheldon have always been, viewers were curious to see how their friendship began, and The Big Bang Theory did not disappoint. Who would have thought that Sheldon was already his insufferable self?

The Scavenger Vortex (S7E3)

The beauty of the scavenger hunt episode was that the writing allowed characters who didn't normally communicate that much to develop their own dynamic. And those little details, like Amy and Howard having the time of their lives bonding over Neil Diamond, are what made the episode so beloved by the fandom.
