1. Fool Me Once — January 1

Let's start the year with the gripping thriller series with a murder at its heart. Maya and Joe were a happy married couple, but one day Joe is brutally murdered, leaving his wife devastated.

However, some time after this event, Maya suddenly spots her husband on a secret nanny cam that she had installed to keep an eye on their daughter. Shocked, she begins to investigate his murder with the help of Detective Sergeant Sami Kierce. But it seems he himself has a big secret...

2. The Brothers Sun — January 4

The dysfunctional family trope is probably the one that can be reimagined in many different ways, but still revolves around an atypical relationship between closest relatives. This Netflix series centers on the Sun clan and all their dark secrets that are about to be revealed.

Charles is the older brother who is a gangster in Taipei, but he had to fly to L.A. to protect his mother and younger brother Bruce after their kingpin of a father was killed by an enemy. The thing is, this new information is shocking news for Bruce. How will they manage to join forces to protect their family together?

3. Boy Swallows Universe — January 4

Coming-of-age dramas are often hard to watch: it's painful to see young souls trying their best to become worthy grown-ups. And as if the pressure of the mere fact of becoming an adult were not enough, life throws in a bunch of other obstacles to overcome. That's exactly what happened to Eli Bell, a young boy who was forced to man up to protect his family and find a way to remain a good-hearted person in the process.

4. Good Grief — January 5

You know it's going to be good when the trailer alone makes you cry and when you know that Dan Levy has something to do with it. As for Good Grief, it's Levy's debut as a feature film writer and director, and he also stars in the film.

Marc's life is shattered after the unexpected death of his soulmate, his husband Oliver. So his best friends, Thomas and Sophie, decide to take him on a trip to Paris to help him rediscover the meaning of his life. But along the way, they all end up getting more.

5. Gyeongseong Creature Part 2 — January 5

This series is definitely the most eagerly awaited South Korean drama to be released in January. The success of the first part, which ended on a cliffhanger, made it impossible for the writers to go for the multi-season show (which is unlikely for K-dramas).

Set in a fictional universe where the ancient history and the modern day fantasy world companies, the story revolves around two unlikely partners who team up to investigate sinister events. Along the way, they realize that it's not a human action they're about to discover...

6. Detective Forst — January 11

The story of this crime drama focuses on a detective who was fired from his job because of his non-traditional methods of investigation. But this very approach to work suddenly gives him the murder case that he is sure he has to solve. A highly unpopular professor has been killed at the top of the Tatra Mountains, and Wiktor Forst will team up with a journalist to find out who is responsible.

7. Champion — January 11

Not much is yet known about this TV series, but we know for sure that fans of rap music will definitely like it. Centered around rapper Bosco, who is finally out of prison and ready to conquer the world again, the show makes us see how difficult it will be for him when his own sister will try to stop that from happening, even though she knows that their family will not survive such a test.

8. End of the Line — January 17

This series is another take on how complicated a couple's life can be both before and after divorce. At the center of the story are Sandra and Ivan, a once happy family who ended up getting divorced, but are forced to live together in one house. Seems pretty hard to maintain, huh? Well, watch the series to find out what everyday shenanigans they have to overcome to stay sane and not kill each other.

9. Kübra — January 18

The Turkish series that revolves around Gokhan, a young man who lives in the suburbs and wants to make his life better to start a family with his girlfriend. He is a former soldier, so ordinary life is sometimes hard for him, but one day he receives a message from a user named Kubra that changes everything.

Through Kubra, Gokhan starts to receive information that nobody else has access to, he gets warnings about the big events that are going to happen. All this makes him believe that he is the chosen one. But how will it affect his life?

10. Griselda — January 25

If you missed Sofia Vergara, mark your calendars because she is about to rock your world again. Vergara will be starring in a TV series as Colombian drug lord Griselda Blanco. The crime drama will follow every step of her life, making us understand how she actually became the queen of the bloody cocaine empire.
