10 K-Dramas That Were Ruined by Ending Way Too Soon
The regular runtime of a K-drama is 16 hour-long episodes, but for these 10 shows, it was never enough.
Even for those that lasted longer, we think that they ended way too soon and left too many unanswered questions, forcing us to speculate for an eternity, because they won't ever get a continuation, and feel bitter.
K-Dramas became trendy after Squid Game gained worldwide success, but not all of them have this satisfying storytelling, especially closer to the end.
Sometimes you feel that the showrunners had to rush, had to focus only on the main plot points, and ignore all the sub-stories that they were steadily crafting in the process but were forced to abandon (though for some of the shows it happened because ratings were poor), and this sloppy writing leaves you extremely unhappy.
It's one thing when the authors do ambiguous or open endings: if these are done in the right way they feel right where they belong, but in the case of these shows the twists were too sudden, the matters stay unresolved, and the hooks that were left, promising a continuation, never lead anywhere as no sequels were released. And that makes the audience feel tricked.
