10 Films With Plots So Confusing, You'll Need Multiple Viewings
Truly thought-provoking cinema is hard to come by, especially in today's Hollywood landscape, where mindless blockbusters are valued far more than truly original cinematic experiments.
Fortunately, the last two decades have seen the release of a number of interesting and obscure films that can easily satisfy your hunger for unique, if somewhat confusing, storylines.
Needless to say, the above-mentioned movies are not for everyone. They demand multiple viewings, a sustained attention span, and a tolerance for all things confusing and macabre. If you are comfortable thinking about a movie for weeks after seeing it, all in the hopes of deciphering a hidden message left by the director, then this list can keep you occupied for a long time!
Of course, some of the aforementioned movies are a bit more confusing than the rest. "The Fountain," for example, can be a real ordeal even for the most seasoned fans of weird cinema, as director Darren Aronofsky crammed a little too much meaning into this Hugh Jackman starrer, which may cause a lot of people to drop the movie after the first hour or so.
And that's totally fine! After all, movies are supposed to be fun to watch!
