Long-running TV shows usually feature lots of cameos because keeping the plot fresh for decades with the same cast is not easy.

'Lost' is one of the most memorable shows that run for more than 100 episodes and featured major stars in episodic roles that we were really happy to see.

For a series that featured the main cast consisting of relatively unknown actors, 'Lost' was able to secure some of the most memorable TV stars of that time to play episodic characters and add some spice to the already puzzling story that we adored seeing unravel in front of us during its six year runtime.

While the finale is still viewed as quite polarizing, the journey to the finish line stays enjoyable and it helped change the whole landscape of the TV shows and the way they are written.

The way the story has been unfolding, piling up one mystery upon another and giving us the background of some characters in carefully crafted flashbacks that featured these prominent stars is something that made the show more multi-layered than we ever hoped it would be.

For some of the actors, 'Lost' became a launching pad that opened lots of doors.
