The story of two brothers “saving people, hunting things” started back in 2005, with the finale airing in 2020 after 15 seasons. But it does not mean that the story has ended for good.

The CW revealed on Monday that John Winchester in the upcoming prequel of ‘Supernatural ’ will be portrayed by Drake Rodger, and Meg Donnely will play Mary Winchester, the mother of Dean and Sam.

The Winchesters ’ will tell “epic, untold love story of how John met Mary and how they put it all on the line to not only save their love, but the entire world.”

It seems that fans are ready to strap themselves in for this journey, even after 15 years of following the story of John and Mary’s children - which, to be honest, featured almost every imaginable supernatural occurrence.

But it looks like the fans’ love for ‘Supernatural’ is unconditional.

And the expectations are quite high.

The casting appears to sit well with the fans.

When Danneel Ackles, the wife of Jensen Ackles who portrayed Dean in the show, shared the news on Twitter, she received a lot of love.

The Ackles family is going to be executive producers for the series, with Jensen expected to narrate the story. ‘The Winchesters’ will also have Robby Thompson, the writer behind the main story, back in the team.

After all, it’s the family business, right?
